Speaker 1:So, uh, hey, we got a lot to talk about today. We've got NBA kickoff Time to talk about. You guys are going to give your rankings 10 through one. I'm going to tell you who's going to make the playoffs, who's not going to make the playoffs. We're going to be able to beat the Yankees. We'll talk about that. We got a special flash giveaway for the World Series, so you don't want to miss that, so you want to stay tuned for that. And then, of course, nfl. We're going to dive into the NFL news D-Hop going to the Chiefs. You know, are the rich getting richer? Bryce Young is back.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, we got the two Carolina Panthers homers here we're going to talk about Bryce Young being back a whole lot. And then of course, we got to make all our week eight picks. Diego's doing fairly well this year, so I know Diego wants to dive into these picks. We're going to make all 16 picks. See if he can go 16-0. You've gone 14-0 this year but you haven't gone 16-0.
Speaker 2:I didn't go 16-0. I'd set the record standard 14-0, but I didn't do it in the full weeks. Some people are trying to take that away from me, but I just got to go 16-0.
Speaker 1:It's pretty simple we're going to see what happens and then, hey, we'll freestyle. There's a ton of stuff we've been talking about off camera, so this is going to be a fire show. This is going to be a fire show. We're ready to get into it. All right, shout out to everyone that makes this show happen. Shout out to Summer behind the scenes. Shout out to you Thanks again. And shout out one more time. Shout out to Mom Dukes, my wife, your mom for the concept of picking pros and having us do this, so this would not be possible without her. So we know you're watching, love you, baby, and we're going to have a good show, all right.
Speaker 3:Also real quick.
Speaker 1:Thank y'all for the opportunity, oh heck yeah, man, heck yeah, oh, yes, yes, nah, man, you are fam man. It's crazy because I feel like we've known you for years and what has it been? Maybe two months.
Speaker 3:Maybe two months. It's crazy, it's coming up on two months.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, and you've been on I don't know at least like five shows, been on full shows with us. We've gone to a Panther game, we've done a ton. So yeah, nah, I appreciate that. Much love, much love, all right. Well, let's get on into this, guys. Let's kick off. Let's start with NBA. Since NBA just started, let's go ahead and get into it and give our playoff predictions and rankings. Which one do you want to go first? All right? So, all right, you're going to start us off. Let's do go go 10 through one. Let's do East first, since West is a little more competitive. Go West first. 10 through one. Why don't you do West? I'm sorry, you do East, you do East, you do West, you do West. All right, 10 to one.
Speaker 3:So 10 to one at number 10, rather Charlotte Hornets Now. Now we've got the Hornets. Now, I think, room for improvement. Lamelo Ball and Brandon Miller are basically new stars in this league and I really feel like they might not be the best team in the East right now, but I do like their pieces. I like their new coach. I think, if LaMelo stays healthy, that they can definitely make a push Number nine. I got the Hawks Now again.
Speaker 3:I just believe I'm a Trae Young believer believer I've been a fan of trey young ever since he was at oklahoma yeah but again, I don't think they're good enough to be a top tier team in the east. But I believe with trey and the right pieces around them, you know that they can still, you know, get in that play-in race and number eight. The heat. Now people might be like why do you have the heat that low okay however, I just feel like jim, like Jimmy Butler doesn't take the regular season that seriously.
Speaker 1:He doesn't.
Speaker 3:And I feel like they're going to be scratching and clawing with all their scrappy, undrafted players. Let's go with the typical story they're going to get in the playoffs, surprise a high seed, and then they're going to probably lose in the second round. Okay, Number seven I got the orlando magic. I really like what they're building over there with. I love how palo blanco plays I like james hugs, franz wagner.
Speaker 3:I love how just how that team is constructed. I really like what they're building over there. Right and number six this might be my hottest take. I have the sixers now okay jack jack c.
Speaker 1:I hope you're watching.
Speaker 3:Listen with the Sixers this is subject to change, really because of the injury concerns I have for both Paul George and Joel Embiid. I do think they possibly have one of the most talented teams it's not the most talented team in the league when everybody's healthy but because Joel Embiid and Paul George do have injury concerns, I'm a little I'm not as sold on them. Number five I got the caps, I think the cavaliers with donovan mitchell and with mobley and garland, you know, I feel like they're gonna get better with their roles and stuff. I don't. I don't really doubt the calves much.
Speaker 3:I feel like they're always a playoff team they're always pretty hard yeah plus, donovan mitchell is one of the best shooting guards in the league and he's leading that team number four got the pacers now okay, I think listen eastern conference finals appearance and you can say a host injuries versus the knicks. They still really performed well in the playoffs without halliburton playing at his best. I think halliburton still raises the floor of that team. They're very talented. Plus, they could have won a couple games in that conference final series. It's just, you know, one shot, some shots, ain't going to win for them.
Speaker 3:So I think they have the potential to be a top four seed in the East.
Speaker 1:Well, and ESPN is still laying people off because the Pacers made it to the eastern congress, so they're still suffering from that right now. So, yeah, okay, all right.
Speaker 3:So number three. I got the milwaukee bucks. Now I again. Yannis is probably my favorite player in the league and I think yannis and dame are kind of going to be on a revenge tour after all the injuries and everything that happened this this past season. And I think if chris middleton gets healthy they're going to be fine okay then number two, I'm the new york knicks, and I know the knicks were my finals pick, but, honestly, after that celtics game.
Speaker 3:I that I was a little nervous, you know after I'm still sticking with it. But I do think that the unquestioned number one seed has to be the celtics. I mean, if you saw the game opening night, all the threes they hit how talented they are and they still don't have Porzingis yet.
Speaker 3:I think it's basically it's them. It's going to be them at the end of the road in the conference finals and one team has to just either be really hot or on a crazy run to maybe surprise them and go to the finals they look great to just either be really hot or on a crazy run to maybe surprise them and go to the finals.
Speaker 1:They look great. The question is are we ever going to see the coach Joe face anymore? He used to have that face when they would be getting blown out or wouldn't play up to par. He would have a certain look on his face but, now they've turned the corner.
Speaker 2:I think he will.
Speaker 1:You think he will. You'll definitely see that face. You're going to see it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, okay, all right. In the middle of the season for All-Star, they're going to start just chilling a little bit.
Speaker 1:They're going to take it easy, you're going to see that Missoula face. Okay, we're going to see it again, yeah, yeah. So they definitely have. They have something to prove, but, um, it's going to be interesting to see. Can they sustain that. So tatum has a lot to prove. He's coming out, he's trying to win mvp.
Speaker 3:jalen brown he is, uh, you know, playing like jalen brown yeah, on a revenge tour, because the whole nike usa thing, right. I definitely think that I don't like how team usa kind of put a battery in the back of a team that just won the finals. They did, that was just a very bad idea for the rest of the league.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:Again, this is as a Lakers fan saying this. I don't want to say this, but I do think the Celtics. I'm looking at what my eyes are telling me and they're something special.
Speaker 1:They're looking good. All right, diego, mr 14-0. Four-game lead overall on Dez man. Let's hear your 10-1 for the East.
Speaker 2:All right, 10-1 in the East Number 10, I have the Atlanta Hawks For the same reasons. Chris said really, Trey Young, they're pretty much always just in this play-in position scrapping for a play-in. We got Zachary Richichetie, number one pick. So uh see how he does, and and uh, yeah, nice good luck, impressive good luck to the hawks you ought to be a broadcaster number nine. You got the charlotte hornets. Um, you got lamello ball healthy at the beginning of the year.
Speaker 2:That hasn't happened in a long time, uh so him and him and him and brandon just wait him and brandon miller looking like a pretty good duo, brandon miller's looking good. So I think the horn is gonna have a solid year and a week east to sneak into the play-in and number eight we got the heat. Uh, they're just gonna be. Uh, the same old heat, just frisky. Just just hang on. Hang on. Play good late in the year to get that playing spot. And you see, jimmy Butler with the three points one and one man.
Speaker 1:What in the world? It was weird. Let's talk about that for a second. It was weird If you can remember where you are. What's up with Jimmy Butler man?
Speaker 3:All right. So my thing with Jimmy Butler has always been he takes the regular season lightly, he doesn't seem to care as much, and then all of a sudden his team stinks in the playoffs and he turns into a dog. Now my issue with that is you can avoid all of that if you just cared about the regular season, act like you wanted to win and you wanted to be the top dog in the East. However, you know, I think the Heat kind of like that underdog role. Oh, we're scrappy and tough, and it's like y'all can avoid all that if y'all just took the regular season exactly. So I just, you know, I think it's going to be the same old story. You know he's going to turn up. Everybody's going to be like remember playoff jimmy? Because I don't know if you all remember, but last year, because of everything he did in the playoffs, everybody was, oh, he should be a top 10 player in the NBA.
Speaker 1:No. I don't believe that you don't take the regular season seriously enough and I get it.
Speaker 3:It's 82 games. How invested can you really be? But come on y'all. This is ridiculous at this point.
Speaker 2:I mean that's just weird. I mean the thing with the Heat too is they could be like a third seed in the East if they tried their hardest. Yeah, and if they're going to be the seventh or eighth seed, like we say they're going to be, they're not winning a playoff series.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:They're not going to beat the Knicks, no, and they're definitely not beating the Celtics, no. So they've got to be a top six team to be able to at least try to win a playoff series.
Speaker 2:So yeah it was the Heat. Then. Number seven I had the Pacers coming off that East Conference Finals run. Just I don't really believe in them that much. Actually. Just Haliburton, I don't really believe in him. The roster things kind of just mid, I just don't really believe in them. And number six I have the Magic. I like what they're doing. Apollo playing good, really believe in them. And number six I have the magic. I like what they're doing.
Speaker 2:Apollo uh playing good front. France wagner uh, he played good last year and then they got kcp2 a veteran on a championship and provides a lot the shooting that they didn't have last year. Okay, so a good locker room guy. So I think they're gonna have a solid year. Number six ahead of the playing. And number five have the bucks. Uh, yannis, dame, uh, I don't have them top four because I just don't. I think they're too old to be able to play as well in the regular season. Because yannis is going to play well but dame is going to probably get hurt. Uh, the rest of the team just old, so I just don't really believe you're going to be good in the regular season middleton's never going to play more than a certain amount of games.
Speaker 2:Yeah, number four, I have the Cavs. You know Mobley's getting better, of course, mitchell, they're just a solid regular season team, being at four or five range every year. So I have them at four. And number three, I have the Six Sixers and B. This is mainly just because the East is weak, I think, below the two seed, just because I don't know how much Embiid's going to play. Paul George, of course, has all his injuries. It's really just going to be Maxie. Maxie's going to have to play like he did last year. Them to get this three seed, because I don't believe in Paul George and Embiid until late in the season in playoffs. And number two, the Knicks. Uh, I just like their roster, I like their you know approach to games. They're gonna play hard and they're, of course, gonna try to get this top, top two seed. And then, of course, number one, the Celticsigning champs same roster and they're hungry. So I think they're going to have a good year.
Speaker 1:Number one Okay, all right, so that's the East there. So really, no, I wouldn't say there's any glaring omissions from the team. Now, with the West, that's a whole other situation, because we may have a game or two that separates six, seven seeds. But the East, yeah, pretty straightforward. Now you have the play-in and then we have the teams that are going to make the final roster. I think you both have the Hornets making it in the play-in. Either you have the Hornets actually making the playoffs.
Speaker 2:No, not at all. Not at all no, not happening no.
Speaker 3:No, okay, you'll be crazy for North Carolina sports man.
Speaker 1:It's not going to happen. So neither of you have that happening. What's your, diego? What's your Eastern Conference finals?
Speaker 2:Knicks and Celtics, knicks and Celtics. Yeah, knicks and Celtics, with the Celtics winning, celtics advancing to the finals, and then you've got.
Speaker 1:I have the same thing but with the Knicks winning, okay with the next one, okay with the next winning.
Speaker 3:so you're flipped all right, okay, all right. Well, let's. Let's get into the east. I mean, it's into the west, sorry, okay. So 10 through 1. In the west, I have the new orleans pelicans. I, yeah, you know they are potential, uh, perpetual 10c team. It feels you know they're, they're good enough to, you know, make a quick run towards the end of the season. But there's injuries concerns. Dejounte Murray's already out. They're big signing in the offseason, so I don't know how that's going to go. But yeah, I have them at 10-9. I have the Warriors and that might be a little too low.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I think that be a little too low. Yeah, I think that's a little too low.
Speaker 3:But I think after last year and I wasn't fully moved with all the signings I do think. And again, this is subject to change, because I do think Buddy Heald and Kyle Anderson are very good rotational players.
Speaker 1:But as main players.
Speaker 2:That's true, that's all we need. Yeah, but as the main players on your team. That's true, that's all we need. Yeah, but as the main players on your team outside of staff. They're not the main players on your team. They're not, and they're not the main players on our team. Buddy Heald, of course, is going to be good in the starting lineup. He's going to be, a good replacement for Klay. I think he's going to fit better in our system than Klay, I'm not, he's meant for Klay.
Speaker 2:I think he's going to fit better in our system Not saying he's a better player than Klay, but he's going to fit better, more consistent shooter. Yet Klay just wasn't the same. He wasn't the same. Klay needed a new scenery. He looked the same last night I said he needed a new scenery. He needed a new scenery. He didn't fit where we were going. It's just different All right, okay, okay.
Speaker 1:I like where you have the Warriors, I think you have them just in the right place.
Speaker 3:Number eight Ego hate me later. Number eight I got the Kings. I do think Sacramento again still very young, scrappy team I like the signing of. Demar DeRozanosen. I think he just adds a bit more scoring to that team. Um, I still like the duo, the dynamic duo, malik monk and dearon fox. So I think they could be really good.
Speaker 3:Number seven you got the nuggets now and again. I again I believe in. I think yokich is the best player in the NBA by far, but my concern is the fact that outside of him, jamal Murray and Michael Porter, who else really contributes on that team? Because during their championship run they had a Bruce Brown, they had a KCP. They stopped. Gordon Okay.
Speaker 2:Aaron.
Speaker 3:Gordon can play very well, but again, I believe that the West has gotten a little bit better and I don't think they're going to be as solid Number six. I have the Lakers Now again. This again is me as a homer and I completely understand that. But I do think that LA, I like how, how jj reddick coached during during that superwolves game. I like the fact that we did have 80. It seems like we're finally giving the keys to 80, which we're trying to do for four or four, almost five years right so I'm just happy that it looks like 80s taking control.
Speaker 3:He's like no, like I'm. I'm the best player on this team and we don't have to rely on a 40 year old man.
Speaker 1:That's the best I like how we swing.
Speaker 3:I love how austin reeves is different. I just like how our team looks. I don't think we're better than like some of the great young teams in the west, but I do think six is like a solid spot for them.
Speaker 3:okay, number five I've got the suns to me, the talent of devin booker and kevin duran, and they got a point guard in the offseason. I think that you know they're not so much reliant on devin booker and kevin durant to be like the main not, sorry, I'm trying to figure out how to say this. Not, they actually have a point guard, and it's not just Kevin Bryant and Devin Booker, it can't be. Booker, yeah, having to play make, having to do everything, they could just lay back. Have Jones set them up to score, that would be. I think that could be really good for them. Number four I got the Mavericks. Now I like.
Speaker 1:The champions, I them okay. Number four I got the mavericks. Now I like the champions. I'm just saying, listen, I already told you I'm sick with the hot take I had last week, that's why I have the mavericks there.
Speaker 3:So mavericks to me. I love what the addition of clay thompson does for them and I really think that luca and kairi are kind of going to be on a revenge tour. But again there's three young teams in the West who I think are a bit better than them. Number three I have the Grizzlies. Now that's my worst to first. That's the hot take. I am standing on.
Speaker 3:Because, I believe in John Moran. I believe they got all the mess and everything that's happened behind them and, literally, when they weren't going through that and they didn't have as many pieces on the team, they were still a two seed in the west. Okay, so, I think, fully healthy, motivated job. You have jaron jackson, you have desmond bain you have marcus spark. You have a great bench with brandon clark sound I forgot about zach heady. It could definitely help out that team, so I had the Grizzlies number three. That's my hot take.
Speaker 1:Okay, okay.
Speaker 3:That's a hot take yeah it is. Number two I got the Timberwolves and I believe that Anthony Edwards is going to be on his bully this season.
Speaker 2:He's a dog, he's easily to me he's my my pick for the best shooting guard in the league. So I think that what he gives definitely no what he gives to his team.
Speaker 3:Julius randall just needs to be consistent in order for them to get this two seed, though, and I believe more minutes with nas reed can definitely improve that team, so I believe they'll be the two seed Number one. I got the youngest team in the West. I have the Oklahoma City Thunder. Now I think that what they already had, plus they added Hardenstein, plus they added Caruso. I believe that when having Hardenstein takes, you're not fully relying on Chet to be the defender against all the great bigs in this conference. So I think that you know you have you already have two. You have three really good young players. You have Chet, who's going to make us make some strides, you have Jayden Williams, who's going to make some strides, and SGA, who was an MVP candidate last year leading that team. Plus great bench, great role players. I think they could be be they're my pick to come out of the west.
Speaker 1:Okay, okay, okay, oh, you have. So you have okc um winning the west, winning the west, so not only being the number one seed, winning the west as well.
Speaker 3:Okay, okay, you're standing on that because I believe that we what we did with the Celtics when their young team was, you know, going to all the conference finals and doing that thing I feel like we kind of let them have the leeway of like, oh, they're a conference finals team, I'm like, no, you're talented enough. You need to make sure that you're getting to the finals.
Speaker 1:Right.
Speaker 3:We were. You know, like me and my roommate, he's a Celtics fan we would always have these discussions on like is, always have these discussions on like it arch, like it's the celtics like championship or bust. I feel like they were like that for about as soon as they like made the finals, yeah, against the warriors, so maybe even a year before that. So I believe, listen you, how much the league can change year to year, you don't. If you're a good team, you don't necessarily have time to be like oh, we're a conference final team, we're over making this thing around right you gotta win as quickly as you can, because there's a guy in san antonio who scares me a little bit.
Speaker 3:Yes, wimby is so everybody gotta get their rings a little quick wimby absolutely is on his way like, take a like two-step mid-range yeah like his like long.
Speaker 2:Oh, it's crazy it's crazy.
Speaker 1:It's crazy, yeah. So no good take. So you got your hot take with Memphis. I think you have the Warriors at the right place.
Speaker 3:The Nuggets, I'm really emphasizing that yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you know, I keep emphasizing that.
Speaker 1:But I like the Warriors, I really do. Matter of fact, I love the Warriors, I actually do. But your, but the um, your other team, the seven seed, the nuggets, yeah, the denver nuggets. So I'm I'm not mad at that, actually. I, I see where you're going. They, it looks like, especially from the first game, they look a little weaker. They're not as deep, clearly. Uh.
Speaker 3:So you know, not having kcp, that will it feels like each offseason they seem to lose a key role player.
Speaker 2:That could definitely help them out, I think.
Speaker 3:Bruce Brown definitely could have helped them out in that Wolves series. It was literally like it's annoying because he didn't do it when he was on the Lakers but KCP always seemed to hit a big shot for that team whenever they needed it outside of, like Murray and Michael Mark Drew. So I think I got a seven.
Speaker 1:okay, all right all right, good, good list, good list. All right, diego, we, we can't wait to hear yours, man.
Speaker 2:All right, number 10 through one um, start off with the houston rockets at number 10. I like what they, what they've been doing. Uh, the houston rockets, they're still in the n the NBA. They had a good year last year. They were good last year. They added Dylan Brooks, fred Van Vliet last year. Then they got Jalen Green, been playing better. They drafted Reed Shepard, who's been looking really good. They had the other guy I'm forgetting his name the big, tall center. He's good. He's good, I thinkun. Yeah, shingun. Yeah, he's good. So I think they're going to have a solid year in getting to 10 seed Number nine. I have the Los Angeles Lakers at number nine. That's crazy. I love it. I like what you said about AD taking over the team, but I think this is the ultimate wait for it moment, because LeBron is just going to come in and just wipe yeah.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, oh yeah, he's going to do that.
Speaker 2:And then just take over and LeBron and Bronny, bronny is going to start getting some minutes in there.
Speaker 1:Oh, no, no.
Speaker 2:He's going to stay on the roster Because the coach and the star players.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, oh yeah, Got Lakers at nine. Good luck to the Lakers, though. Shout out to them. And number eight got the Kings. We got Darren Fox like him, Sabonis, Keegan Murray's getting better, Malik Monk off the bench. They have a solid team and I think they'll sneak into the playoffs and get number 18. Okay, Number seven, I got the Suns. You know, of course, they still have Durant, Booker Beal, and they did add the point guard, Tyus Jones, I think, which was a good addition. He's been good in the league, he's a good passer and everything. So I think they're going to play better this year, play more consistent and play better in the playoffs too. And number six I have the Grizzlies. Like Chris, I think they're going to have a good year.
Speaker 2:Ja coming back, be on a revenge tour. They got good players around him, good fitting players on the roster, and Zach E, I think, is going to help playing. You know a guy who you can just lob it up to to get a dunk. So it's like pick your poison sort of. You can either lob it up to ED for an easy dunk or just get you know posterized by Ja. Yes, yes, easy dunk. Or just get you know posterized by jaw. Yes, yes, that's.
Speaker 3:I can't wait to watch.
Speaker 1:That's gonna be a nice, that's a nice combo right there. Yes, number of those games, yeah, oh yes, it's a grudge match right there.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I can't wait to see that number five. I have the golden state warriors. Um wow curry coming off that olympic. I like what he's doing, draymond.
Speaker 1:He's Draymond.
Speaker 2:Wish we didn't have him, but that's okay.
Speaker 1:Already got a tip.
Speaker 2:We have Buddy Heald right. Buddy Heald is an underrated player in this league. He scored 22 points in the first game at like five threes and people are like, well, this is against the Trailblazers, we beat them by 40. Okay, that's saying something On a road game, first game of the year. True, we have good role players around Steph. We don't have the most stacked team, but we have players that have been here for a little bit, but they're still young, and youth is what wins regular season games and just a good fitting team is what wins regular season games and just a good fitting team. Pojemski can come in play point guard, let Steph shoot around and stuff. So I like the Warriors. I think the Warriors are going to be a surprise team this year. And number four I got the Nuggets Probably lower than what some people would have them, but I just don't think Christian Brown is ready to be starting shooting guard right there.
Speaker 2:He doesn't shoot well enough to be able to make big shots. Jamal Murray's been inconsistent for last year in the Olympics and this year so far. I just don't really trust him right now. And of course I trust Joker, but I just don't trust their bench. Russell Westbrook no, no.
Speaker 1:I'm shocked they signed him.
Speaker 3:I just did not see that fit If we just have him as a backup PG when Yoko just didn't do anything Just shoot around, just don't have him shoot, just literally have him just be in like a. Rondo role where he just you know, gets a couple laps helps get the offense.
Speaker 2:You know he's going to want to go full court.
Speaker 3:I'm not saying he should do that, he should not do that at all.
Speaker 2:He don't need to do any of this, Like that player that gets in the game just trying to score.
Speaker 1:Yeah yeah, I need to get as many attempts up as possible. Get my attempts.
Speaker 2:Number three you got the Dallas Mavericks. I like what they're doing. Clay's rolling there. He's shooting wide-open threes, which is what's going to be good for him. All the attention is going to go to Kai and Luka. I like what they got PJ Washington, the two big guys, Lively and Gafford. I think they have a good team. They're going to make a good run. Thunder, of course, at number two, All their young players getting better. Got rid of Giddy and replaced him with Caruso. I think that's a better fit. Number one we got the Minnesota Timberwolves Ant. I think what they got to do, though, is put Julius Randle on the bench and put Nas Reed in.
Speaker 2:I just think that lineup fits better, but I just think, with their roster and their depth and wanting to get revenge from last year, I think they're going to be number one.
Speaker 1:Okay, even after how they looked in game one, or that was just game one.
Speaker 2:That was just game one. They won game two, so that's all good.
Speaker 1:Okay, all right game.
Speaker 3:They won game two. It's all good, alright. Alright, that was bad. They let Bronny get in the game.
Speaker 1:So, Chris, who do you have in your Western Conference Finals?
Speaker 3:I have Thunder, and Wolves, I do think I do think you know.
Speaker 1:Thunder Wolves.
Speaker 3:I do think Ant is going to have a crazy playoff run yet again.
Speaker 2:And.
Speaker 3:I believe that last year I don't think he took it as seriously and I do think that the Olympics definitely you always see like a jump that a young player has after being in the Olympics and I feel like he learned from that experience learned from the older guys around him LeBron, steph and Katie on how to really be a winner. I have the thunder, but it would be a very crazy and very close series because I do believe in SGA. We go to war and it would be beautiful.
Speaker 1:That would be great to see. How about you, Fuego?
Speaker 2:I have the Timberwolves and the Celtics in the finals, with the Timberwolves winning it. That's my pick Timberwolves, alright.
Speaker 1:For my finals. I've got the Celtics, like you, and I've got the Celtics Mavericks, mavericks stand in it. Follow us on social media media. You know who I'm picking for the championship. I'm picking the matchup, the grudge match, but it'll be a different outcome this time.
Speaker 1:Yeah, for sure, it'll be a different outcome so hey, luca, luca is out for revenge and Clay is the perfect fit for that team, and I think we already saw that I've never seen anybody shoot a three-pointer more wide open than he did in that game, like it was crazy. He sat there, dribbled the ball, could have Trey Young, shimmied and done anything else that he wanted to, and shot the ball. It was crazy. So, yeah, they're looking good. I like it All. Well, let's get into the mvp talk. Uh, one more nba topic before we move on to our next one mvp. So who is going to be the mvp this year? Diego, let's start this off with you, my man shea gildasildas.
Speaker 2:Alexander is going to be the MVP. They got robbed last year and I just think they're going to want to give it to him. He's going to average like 36-6. He's pretty much known and he's either going to be a top-two seed. So I think the winning, combined with the stats you got to give it to SGA and his defense too, that steals he gets that's important as well.
Speaker 1:Okay, all right, you got sga. All right, how about you, chris?
Speaker 3:me.
Speaker 3:I got jason tatum and again I'm fully buying into the narrative of him getting basically so many like dmps in the olympics.
Speaker 3:I don't like how team usa put a battery in the back of a team who literally won the whole thing last year. So that's a bit concerning for the rest of the league and if you saw how locked in the Celtics were in that first game, you know I'm not going to lie I'm a little worried about what's going to happen to the rest of the league Because to me he's going to be the leader of that team and already a team with another great player in jalen brown I think that it's tainem. I believe it's time to like kind of rise, to like the player that we all expect him to be, because everybody when he was younger was like oh, I don't know if he's like in top five talks, but because of what he can do on both ends, because what he gives you as a score and just what everything he can do, I think him he's going to be the best player on the best team in the league.
Speaker 1:So to me that means you're the mvp okay, all right, yeah, yeah, I can definitely see either one for sure. You both make great points. Sga a lot of people think he should have won it last year, though, and he is going to pick up where he left off, probably play even better. They're an even better team, made great pickups this offseason, so SGA is going to have a great season. They'll be one of the top seeds. But Tatum like you said, the Olympic team put a battery in Celtics back overall, and Tatum we already see how he started off, so if I had to pick for the tiebreaker, I would probably say Tatum, because that whole team is going to try to really make sure he gets it. But, yeah, I could see either one there, so let us know in the comments who's going to win the MVP. We want to see that, so let us know.
Speaker 1:All right, well, let's move on to the next topic. We've got to talk a little bit of baseball. We got the World Series about to start in a few minutes, and we actually have we got a contest. So those of you that follow Pick'em Pros, you know we're always doing giveaways, we're always doing cool stuff and trying to entice you guys to check us out at all times. So one of the things we're about to do right now, this is just right now. Youtube only. All right. So if you're not watching on YouTube, you got to go to YouTube right now and in the comments during our show.
Speaker 1:Okay, you got to tell us and this is a Nike gift card on the line and it's a lot on this Nike gift card, all right. So all you have to do is tell us who's going to win the World Series, tell us in how many games, and then give us the final run total of the game-clinching game. All right, give us those three numbers and that will give us a winner. All right, so give us those three stats. Say who's going to win Dodgers or Yankees, say in how many games five, six, seven, whatever four and tell us the amount of runs that are going to be scored in that game-clinching game, and that will allow us to pick a winner. You've got to put the comment in YouTube during our show. There's $200 on this gift card. The winner gets it. So hey, see who's paying attention and can get this. So let us know. All right, that's a shock drop right there. So, with that said, let's go ahead and talk about the World Series. Who do you guys got man Diego? Let's start with you Dodgers Yankees.
Speaker 2:I'm going with the Dodgers in this one Otani getting his first World Series, mookie getting his third actually Second with the Dodgers, yes, yeah. I just think the Dodgers have the hitting power that's going to overtake them and they have some good pitchers the way they pitch against the Padres and the Mets, I think they're going to be able to pull this one off. They're pitching and hitting.
Speaker 1:Okay, you have the Dodgers Now they're suffering with their pitching right now. They're depleted. They just lost another pitcher. But you think with these bullpen games and all that, they can still pull it off.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I still think they'll pull it off.
Speaker 1:Okay. Okay Now, chris, I know you're not as much of a baseball guy, but do you have a pick between the Dodgers and Yankees?
Speaker 3:Well, the fans from Cali. So of course You're going with the.
Speaker 1:Dodgers Okay, yeah, okay. So those that follow, they know that I've been riding with the Dodgers for a while now. Got the Dodgers gear been bragging on them. You know, diego and I had a little wager on the Dodgers and Padres and got that one right, came back we were up 2-1. But I believe, did you guys score again in?
Speaker 2:the game. That's not on topic. We're talking about the World Series. We weren't talking about the Padre Series. Yeah, we didn't. That wasn't very necessary.
Speaker 1:Okay, we're not talking about that, okay, okay, we'll get off that. My bad, my bad for going into history. I should not have done that to you, son. My bad. So. But with that said, I'm going to stick with the Dodgers. But I'm losing a little bit of confidence here. I'm not quite saying it with my chest, I'm not saying it very confidently.
Speaker 2:I'm saying it very confidently Because they're losing a little bit.
Speaker 1:I believe 100% of them. But I'm curious about Ohtani. They swear up and down they're not going to have him pitch. They desperately need another pitcher. Do you think there's any chance they mess around and have?
Speaker 2:no, tony's, he's not pitching this year. He had the. He has the elbow injury, uh-huh, and I I just think that they've like found a way with their pitching, like they're okay, they've just been, no matter who it is, they're just gonna have a good pitcher in there. I don't think they need otani for this. Okay, next year is gonna be crazy, though, when he pitches man, it's going to be sick.
Speaker 1:We've got to get back down there, man, that's one of the best places to watch a baseball game Dodger Stadium. Got to put that on your bucket list. Want to check that out. That was a great, great event. Really enjoyed that. Let us know Again.
Speaker 1:We got the contest Nike gift card. Tell us who's going to win the World Series, tell us how many games and tell us what the final total of runs are going to be. And, hey, maybe getting some kicks, all right, cool. Well, hey, let's get in the NFL, man, let's get in the NFL. All right, brandon Bean. See, brandon's on top of it. He already got his in. So, brandon, hey, if nobody else sends something in, you already get the nike gift card right here. All right, hey, let's move on to nfl. Okay, and we're going to talk about some, uh, some hot topics first, and then we'll. We'll go ahead and get on into our picks, but let's make a few hot topics. We keep that on the screen for now. D hop man, the chiefs, uh, we, we just say rich, get richer, but they're losing people left and right. So I don't know, diego man, what do you think of DeHop going to Kansas City?
Speaker 2:I like the move. I like the move with DeHop going there. I think Mahomes is going to be able to get it to him Because DeHop he's not quite the same, but still I think in that offense with Mahomes' accuracy, he can just unlock a new level. Yeah, uh to to d hop and he's been kind of basically load managing this year.
Speaker 1:so I think him, him coming in there I would be the same thing honestly and will will levis's quarterback so, yeah, I like the fit. Yeah, yeah, he has looked a lot different in tennis. I'm very curious to see.
Speaker 2:Okay, is d hop lost? That much of a step I think it's gonna be cardinal d hop okay, he's gonna be cardinal d hop okay not houston d hop, but cardinal d hop okay, and cardinal d hop is good enough.
Speaker 1:What do you think? Ch yeah.
Speaker 3:I feel like everybody's worst fear is this turns into like a Randy Moss Tom Brady thing.
Speaker 2:Ooh.
Speaker 3:And I weirdly with how the Chiefs I call it. They're like devil magic that they got going on.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:That is a very strong possibility, but I think realistically it gives them a veteran receiver who can basically anybody's going to adapt the offense make sure that he has a bunch of targets and, plus, this opens up stuff for xavier worthy and a bunch of other young receivers that they have. So I think that it could get very interesting for the chiefs. I think that they needed a true number one after rashid rice went down. Oh yeah, and I don't know. I feel like with the chiefs in their entirety.
Speaker 3:I think the offensive end now finally can like start pulling their weight, because the defense has been carrying them this entire season yeah which we haven't said most of the time during this chiefs dynasty, that the defense is the one kind of carrying the chiefs on their back. So I do believe that this kind of gets that offense back on track, which I don't think is good for the rest of the league. So yeah, we'll see, we'll see that that's a great thing.
Speaker 2:D hop's gonna be like randy moss, like tom brady good.
Speaker 1:But if this was three years ago I think, maybe, maybe, but he, I think he's still gonna be really good yeah, but you know, diego, though it's uh, chris makes a great point, because we go back when Randy Moss went to New England. It was very similar to this situation because, believe it or not, it's hard to imagine from how great Randy Moss was, but Randy Moss was playing awful with the Raiders. So it was actually eerily similar to this, to where a lot of people thought Randy Moss was done then and it was OK, is he done or is he just quitting or what's going on. And then, of course, we saw the result. He went to new england. It was amazing.
Speaker 1:So again, I think he d hop has truly lost a step. But, as you say it, it does kind of remind me of that situation to where, if you all of a sudden see D-Hop turn into O-D-Hop, it's going to be crazy. Yeah, that's wild. And these Kansas City Chiefs are a lot like the old Patriots. So it seems like everything the Patriots did, all the Chiefs need to do is start cheating and they'll be just like the Patriots.
Speaker 3:I have reps that are not from them.
Speaker 2:anyway, they don't need to cheat.
Speaker 1:I already got the rest for real time for that week.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's crazy, it's crazy, all right. So, um, one more thing I want to touch on and then we'll get into these week eight picks. Can't wait to get into these because we've got um six to full slated games, 16 games. Got five island games between desmond Clark, former tight end of the Chicago Bears. He has his picks in, so we're going to cover his picks, diego's picks, my picks and Chris, you'll give us your take on all these games. But before we do that real quick, let's touch on your boy. You got the Panther hoodie on Diego. We know you're the ultimate Panther homer man. Great news. I hate that, dal, hate that. You know Dalton was in an accident. Don't want that. And here he's okay in that. But that aside, your guy Bryce Young is back.
Speaker 3:Yeah, he's back. He's back, oof yeah. I mean yeah, you want to take this first.
Speaker 2:I wish we had Andy okay, okay, I wish we had Andy. We had andy okay, okay, I wish we had andy. I wish we could have sat bryce and brought him back next year. But but, with that being said, I am excited to see bryce back in action. Uh, you know, because he's the guy I mean number one overall pick, I see him back heisman trophy, winner number one overall overall beat cj stroud last year.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah, yeah, I am Listen, okay, I'll be completely real with Bryce. I don't like this matchup versus the Denver defense. Plus, I don't know how the team's going to respond to him. I believe that Andy at least seemed to like brighten up the locker room, even though we're still losing, because I still don't think we's going to respond to him. I believe that andy at least seemed to like brighten up the locker room, even though we're still losing, because I still don't think we're gonna win, because our defense, you know, injured to all crap and you know we just haven't been good on defense, even when everybody was healthy this year, right.
Speaker 3:So I just feel like this year, this game, I'm only I'm like morbidly curious because it's like, on the one hand, brus could like look like the number one pick that we all like imagine him to be. On the other hand, it could be the same old same. We're just like, okay, we got to get rid of this guy. So my thing is like, hey, play well, dude, so you can boost your trade value, so we can get you to a good team, because we got to keep rebuilding. So that's the only thing I'm really looking forward to. I just want to see how the team responds to them, because even when we went live to the game, it felt like our team had a different energy around Andy than how it was around Bryce, not last week.
Speaker 3:Well, you know, that was just crazy, it's wavered game to game, but it was definitely it was a different energy at that game, for sure, the first few games yeah no doubt, no doubt about bryce.
Speaker 2:You know, being the team guy for last year's being with the team. I think. I think he's gonna have a good effect in the locker room. I think he won't lose the team all right, yeah, we're gonna see.
Speaker 1:well, hey, they playing. They're not playing at the typical Panther one o'clock time, so they're playing four o'clock, but they're on the West Coast. I guess they're forced to play at the 4 pm Eastern time. But we will see. Looking, looking forward to that, seeing what happens there and question is OK to get a win, then I'll be curious to see what happens there Especially.
Speaker 2:hey, bryce must arrive and it looks good. I want to see Bryce in there still.
Speaker 1:So if Bryce wins, you want to see him continue to play.
Speaker 2:I want to see Bryce in there.
Speaker 3:Alright, I mean, I just need him to string it together, man, that's all. I'm not all the way out on Bryce because, again, I defended him all last year. I feel like we rushed him and we broke his confidence and now him getting benched certainly I don't think assisted with that, but maybe he took it on the chin and maybe he's like listen, I have another chance to prove myself in this league and I feel like it's more so proving himself in the league than it is proving himself to us, because I don't know how sold the front office and everybody is on him being our like franchise guy with how much we kind of lean on. Andy even went with all the losing, so yeah, we'll see.
Speaker 1:All right, we, we will see. Well, let's, let's get into these picks. Guys, we've got these picks, we'll see how well we can do this week. So we've, uh, got the first game here. We've got the rams. Uh, they already traveled to the Rams and Vikings already played, so this was 30-20. Rams upset the Vikings. The only thing we should really touch on this one, the Vikings man, they were surprised everybody. Now they've dropped two in a row, kind of come back to earth. What's your take on the Vikings?
Speaker 3:I mean, I think the first thing is they're still a very good team. Two in a row kind of come back to earth, what's? What's your take on the vikings? I mean, I think the first thing is they they're still a very good team. Like losing derisaw is very concerning with, like how the offensive line could play, but I still think that they're going to be in the playoffs this year now as a higher seed. We, I don't think so. I think the lions are definitely going to win that division and they're probably going to be a five or six seat okay.
Speaker 3:So to me, I think the story of last night was the refs, because if anybody saw, it's 28 20 and minnesota had the ball in their end zone and there's an obvious face mask. The ref is standing like right here, right, and I I don't know how, we didn't see it or how and again, a player uh, literally a quarterback can get smacked in the face. That's a, that's a rough in the past, or call nowadays that exactly we've seen happen with my homes.
Speaker 3:We've seen what happened with josh allen right, and it's a literal face mask and everybody was like, oh, it's a safety and, mind you, it's a scoring play, so why wasn't that reviewed? Why wasn't that figured out? So I I think minnesota is going gonna be fine. I mean, if you lose by two and then you get screwed over by the refs, I'm not really gonna be like out on you as a team. So I've justin jefferson and aaron jones playing really well. I do like how sam was kind of getting the ball to everybody yesterday, but their defense right now is the big concern. Everybody was raving about how good Brian Flores is. I think that the Rams and Lions, because they know that system and they know how to beat it. I think it was just two bad matchups. I think they'll be fine.
Speaker 2:I'm not too worried Puka Nakua, puka Nakua and Cooper Cup. They came back. That wasn't really expected, actually, because Cooper was injured for a long time and then he just came back, puka too. But they both played well and of course, the ref safety call at the end affected the game a lot, because jefferson was open right in the middle of the field and, uh, he just missed it because sam darnell was getting tugged in the face mask. But yeah, I still believe in the vikings, I still think they're a good team and they just got into a bad situation. And then the lions are best team in the league, arguably. So yeah for sure?
Speaker 1:so let's move on to the eagles bangles game. So this, these are. We're going to get into the 15 games that are about to happen. We've got the um eagles traveling to cincinnati. Uh, cincinnati is a two and a half point favorite in this one. Yeah, um, and I think des is on the island for this game. Yeah, well, let's tell us who do you have?
Speaker 2:I have the Bengals. I just believe that they're trying to get to 500, 4-4. And the Eagles, they're just pretty inconsistent, and the Bengals they're at home and just have some momentum with the wins they've got.
Speaker 1:I'm going with the Bengals yeah, I think I've got the Bengals with you. I definitely believe. I believe in the Bengals for this one, everything you said, I'm on the same page with you, with the Bengals. Dez has the Eagles, so Dez is on the island with the Eagles. The Eagles have been so up and down, the Bengals clearly as well, but I believe in the Bengals being at home, the Bengals still have more must wins right now. In the Bengals being at home, it's another. So the Bengals still have more must wins right now. So the Bengals have to get this game and I think this is the game that really puts them on track.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they lost the Ravens game, so I think they're going to try and really get this game and make up for that.
Speaker 1:Yeah, because this would be the Bengals' first win against a true quality opponent, so I think they have to get this one. But Chris looks like you're you're leaning more towards the equals on this.
Speaker 3:I am Cause I just don't believe in that Bengals defense Like that's that's a concern.
Speaker 3:And I saw what Jalen Harris said last week with a full compliment of weapons back. So I believe they were up and down. Because they didn't have Devante Smith, they didn't have AJ Brown, plus Saquon is going to run all over him. Saquon runs all over him. That means you can keep Joe Burrow off the field, meaning that he's not going to get the ball. There's Jamar and Tee because, again, he's not going to be on the field. I don't know it's going to be close, but I got the Eagles in this one. I'm not going to lie.
Speaker 2:Okay, I think this is going to be a shootout, because I don't believe in the Eagles defense either, especially their DBs. Jamar and T are going to have a day.
Speaker 1:Okay, well, let's move on to the next one. We have the Ravens at Browns. Diego, who do you?
Speaker 2:have in this one. I have the Baltimore Ravens in this one, blowout Lamar and them going on the road to Cleveland. I don't know if they have Jameis or the other guy, but yeah, I'm just going with the Ravens, no matter who starts for the Browns.
Speaker 1:Yeah, mm-hmm, yeah, I think we're all on the same page with this one. I don't know who would take the Browns on this one. Not at all. You with the Ravens, yeah.
Speaker 2:The Browns would be one and seven, with the Ravens.
Speaker 1:Yeah, the Ravens are totally cooking. They're rolling. Mvp Derrick Henry. Derrick Henry MVP, not Lamar Jackson. Derrick Henry is looking great, got a great name too, spells the right way and everything. Somebody on this show said that Derrick Henry would be the number one running back in the league this year and you definitely have to pick him number one in fantasy. I don't know who said that, but anyhow.
Speaker 2:I know ESPN had him at number nine.
Speaker 1:That was crazy. They had Derrick Henry at number nine. To be fair.
Speaker 2:Reese Hall, Bijan, all these people over him.
Speaker 3:Okay, yeah, bijan, all these people over him Okay, yeah, bijan over him is crazy. But to be fair, christian McCaffrey, everybody was like, oh, he's going to be RB1. And then, you know, I don't know how much you need to kind of get into it. In fact, the 49ers need to get something for not telling us the extent of his injury, because we go, it's fine, it's fine, it's fine.
Speaker 1:We hit week one. Oh, he's out.
Speaker 3:And now we've got to kill his injury above legs. So you know, but he should be back week 10.
Speaker 2:That's what they said, is it?
Speaker 3:both, really no, it was both. That's what they said. Oh man, that was like the report.
Speaker 2:He's going to be back week 10, so they'll be on a bye.
Speaker 1:Yeah, now that they're on a bye, I'm like Clay Thompson injured. Yeah, really yeah. So we all have the Ravens. Not to beat that one up anymore. Alright, so the next one. We've got the Titans traveling to Detroit. I think we all may have the same pick on this one. Who you got, diego?
Speaker 2:Yeah, this is a tough one. Yeah, I got the Lions in this one. I'm just kidding. Yeah, I got the Lions in this one. 11 point, of course, 11 point favorites. You can see there he's got golf's going to be efficient. Iman Ra receivers running game, still playing for Aiden Hutchinson so I got them I got the Lions. I got the Lions.
Speaker 1:Yeah, dez has the Lions in this one as well. So, yeah, I mean, we got to go Detroit on this game. The Titans have given us no reason to think that they're going to be arguably the best team in the NFL right now. So, at home to lines are at home. Come on, man. What's the spread in the spread? Good, gosh, eleven. When do you see an 11 point spread? Rare, yeah, so yeah, definitely spread, rare, yeah, so yeah, definitely got to go with the line. Shout out to detroit, all the fam there. You got to go with them all right. So let's move on to the next one. This is an island game. Here. Got the arizona cardinals traveling to miami? Oh man, okay, so, uh, diego, who do you have in this one? Oh, okay, well, I, I can tell you who you have this week.
Speaker 2:Oh, I have the Miami Dolphins winning this game. All right, they're at home. They got Tua back. Tyreek's going to be hyped up, so is Jalen Waddell, so I just think they're just going to have a lot of energy and want to win this game for Tua and all that.
Speaker 1:Win this game for Tua. I think we might stay on this game for a minute here. Yeah, we got a lot to talk about on this one, uh. But you've got miami. Um, tell you what we'll give our takes on the game and then we'll talk to her, because we definitely got to get into it here. So you've got miami. Miami is a three and a half point favorite. They are at home. Uh, we'll have a lot of momentum again. Tua is playing, not gonna wear the guardian cap. We'll get into that there. Um, I'm with you. I've got miami. Because of those reasons, I think this is, you know, definitely a must win. I think they, they're gonna have any chance. They, you know two will have to play the rest of the year and, um, they'll have to clearly get this game. So I think they pull this out. The cardinals they can beat anybody that's in their division, but outside their division they're a whole other team. So it's like they just spend their whole time scouting against the divisional opponents.
Speaker 2:It's easier for Kyler to study. You know he doesn't study. That's right, yeah.
Speaker 1:Oh that's a good one.
Speaker 3:That's a good one.
Speaker 1:That's a good one. That's a good one. So, kyler man, you got to load the other teams in your mat.
Speaker 2:Load the other teams, study them, play them twice.
Speaker 1:You know it's easy to prepare for that, that's right, that's funny, that's a good take, but Dez has the Cardinals, so this is one where we'll both get a game on Dez on this one, uh. So yeah, but what's your take on, uh, who you think is gonna win, and then go ahead and start the tour conversation so I do have the cardinals in this one.
Speaker 3:okay, I again I think they are a very talented team, but they're night and day, but again, I believe that they went in a very close shootout. I just I don't like how there's a dude with three concussions that we have seen, we have literally seen on camera and we saw how bad they were and he's like you know what you can get injured, the same getting out your bed. No, you can't, because you decided to run full headfirst into a defender. So I don't know why you would be playing without a guardian cap, because, again, we're talking about a player's long term health here and I get it, you. We want to talk about the warrior spirit and like being a dog, and this doesn't make you a dog, this makes you stupid because I'm like why?
Speaker 3:like we have seen how bad the concussions were. Everybody. As soon as that, as soon as we saw that thursday night game was like oh, no like he's gotta get out of there.
Speaker 3:but you know, you know he's getting paid all the money, so he needs to show something. I don't know if his family's like, hey, you should do this, but it makes no sense. At least have the guardian cap, like I already am. Not for you playing at all, because I saw all the concussions for you playing at all. Because I saw all all the concussions, literally like when the whole thing was like hand fingers were like doing we're all in different directions, I was like, okay, I've never seen that before on the field yeah that's concerning.
Speaker 3:Yeah, so I and again, I don't. I do believe it's because miami just didn't invest in the quarterback position in the offseason, which makes no sense, because if he's this concussion prone, why wouldn't you make sure you get a Joe Flacco just in case this happens? So I'm just yeah, I'm not a big fan of Tua playing. I hope that he goes out and plays well, I just I don't know. It's very scary and very concerning.
Speaker 3:It's a concerning state of the league. Like y'all, people can say that, oh, the league's gotten softer. But again, it was literally a whole movie about why you should be making sure.
Speaker 1:Yes, yes, yes, yes. Great great comment by Alex on there. Yeah, said, uh, you think the concussions have affected his decision-making. So who knows man I? You think the concussions have affected his decision-making, so who knows man?
Speaker 2:I mean, I just think like if you have a concussion in the NFL, like the next game you come back, you should wear the Guardian cap.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:That should be a rule. Yeah, that should be a rule. You should not have. That's just smart to do. You know what I'm saying?
Speaker 1:Yeah, at least the first game out.
Speaker 2:Exactly, yeah, exactly, yeah, you should.
Speaker 1:you should wear the guardian cap the rest of the year and at least, yeah, if he's gonna be playing right, right, because there's a lot at stake here. I mean clearly number one you don't want anything to happen to him, right, um, but and then it's also to be real, it goes beyond him being, if the worst happens, okay, and we all know what that is. That affects everybody, because that's media coverage like you wouldn't believe, and they're going to be calls for football to be banned and all types of stuff. So there's a lot of, a lot of things on the line, with him coming back and playing, especially without the guardian cap. So, um, and I think what aggravated me was just how boldly he said it like, not, per no personal choice, I'm not wearing a guardian cap. Like, really, did you see what happened? You know what I mean. So, yeah, I'm very concerned.
Speaker 1:I hope nothing happens to him, but I don't feel good about this at all. I don't feel good about it. So, yeah, we will see what happens there, all right? Well, let's move on to the next one. Guys, jets versus patriots. Uh, hey, we got the the soap opera. Uh, in in new york, here with everybody. Uh, diego, give us your take on this game, man and I'm going with the jets in this one.
Speaker 2:They're, they're two and five desperate for a win to keep them in playoff contingents. I just think they're going to try their best and try and get a win. So the media, quiet the media and get Devontae some catches and get a win.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, I agree with you. We all me, you and Des at least have the Jets winning this game. Rodgers, I mean, they've got a. They don't really have an opponent in this one. The Patriots have been awful. Now the coach did call his team soft, so maybe they come out with their hair on fire, but they are not talented enough, in my case, to overcome that it doesn't matter yeah.
Speaker 3:And speaking of that, I just feel like you can't call a bunch of grown men, especially playing for money in a very dangerous sport, soft as a coach. That's like no, you can keep that in the locker room and say you're playing weak, not when.
Speaker 3:no, no, I completely understand calling out your team, but not like that, because calling them soft and like, especially basically them being the same returning team from last year even though they did suck last year, they did play a little bit better than what they've offered. But yeah, in the jets I don't like how davante came out playing. One game was like yeah, there's been a lot of inconsistencies with the team. It's been like that all year and I'm like bro, you only been there for five minutes and you got 30 yards off of three catches.
Speaker 2:Maybe you and Devontae Adams might become a journeyman he ain't nothing but Aaron Rodgers, I did not know that Devontae Adams was like that During all the Packers years.
Speaker 3:everybody would bring him up. He's like, oh he's not a diva like Antonio Brown or L Beckham.
Speaker 1:Jr. He just keeps his head down the ball.
Speaker 3:It was like no, he's not a diva like Antonio Brown or Al Beckham Jr. He just keeps his head down the ball. It's like, no, he's still a diva. So I'm like, oh no, I got the Jets in this one. But you know, I really don't care either way. I don't like Aaron Rodgers. I hope the Patriots win on the game. Winner set them at 2-6. Now that team goes spiraling.
Speaker 2:But, but I got the Jets in this one. It'd be funny if Devontae Adams becomes a journeyman?
Speaker 1:That would be a trip. I don't know that would be a trip. Yeah, it is. It's definitely debatable on if you should call your team soft. You know the coach for the Patriots did that. But on the flip it's interesting, the Detroit coach Campbell. He called his team hard because he was so proud of them and how they played. So of them and how they played. So I wonder what that is. So we should call your team hard, all right. Well, let's move on to the next game. We got the Colts at Texas here. Hey, who you got in this one.
Speaker 2:Yeah, well, I got the Texans at least. Just really nothing more to say. They're at home, they lost last week. Cj is probably going to want to play better and the rest of their team probably want to try and get a win. So, yeah, just got them. Okay, 85 yards isn't great.
Speaker 1:So houston's five point favorite they're at home. Everybody was high on cj, we all. We all got the texans, so we all know that. But let's talk about cj freaking stride let's talk about cj stride freaking Stroud. Let's talk about CJ Stroud, because, hey, the Texans were supposed to be world beaters this year. Yeah, their record is good, but I don't think anybody would say that they look the way that we thought they would this year. Something's missing. I think CJ's not playing as well. What's y'all's take on this?
Speaker 2:Nico being out for two weeks hurts. Nico is really great. But I also think CJ Stroud may be coming to earth a little bit because he had that really great rookie year. I'm not saying he's not a good quarterback, but he had a good rookie, a really good start for a rookie. So now he's not playing up to that level. So people are, it's just not quite the same. So yeah, that's really it.
Speaker 3:The concerning thing to me and also because he sold me a fantasy, but the concerning thing that I have for CJ is how do you respond to adversity? Because 85 yards is unacceptable as an NFL quarterback, especially if somebody calls you top 10. Yeah, right you know, yeah, fair point. Oh, I'll let you add up. Yeah, throwing for halloween is actually crazy waiting for this moment diego's revenge.
Speaker 1:Panther homer, yeah, it goes y'all.
Speaker 3:If you have Stephon Davis and Tank Dell as your receivers, even though Nico Collins is out, I get that. You have Joe Mixon in that backfield. Come on, we got it At some point. We got to hold you accountable for not having your team be the world beaters that you thought they were, because, at best, you're playing for fourth in the AFC right now, which is where you don't want to be, especially with a Kansas City, a Buffalo and a Baltimore.
Speaker 2:There's going to be a good wild card team.
Speaker 3:A really good fifth seed.
Speaker 1:Yes, it will.
Speaker 3:But that's it. And everybody was calling them their dark horse Super Bowl candidates. So that's not what. You're not playing up to what the expectations were of you. So that's kind of my issue with the Texxans this year and again, I don't know if that means that nico collins is that important and nico collins is one of my favorite players in the league and I think if we still look at the fact that he's top five and receiving yards after not even playing for two weeks, right might be a top 10 receiver in this league. I'm just the fact that they lost. That is something that's glaringly noticeable. But hey thets, I don't think they have the talent to beat them. So we have the Texans in that score.
Speaker 1:Okay, All right, so we all have the Texans. We all agree on this one. Let's move on to the next game. We've got the Falcons at the Bucks man tight one. This is an island game.
Speaker 2:Dez is on the island for this game. Uh, desmond clark. Yeah, diego, who do you have? I have, I have atlanta. Uh, okay, they're just rematch the thursday. Thursday game, um, I just think, I just think atlanta. Well, tampa, first off, is going to be without mike evans and godwin, which is going to be huge for them, and the falcons just have more firepower, and that's why I just think they're going to win.
Speaker 1:I'm with you. I have the Falcons with this one as well. I think the Bucs have too many injuries losing Mike Evans, losing their other receiver. They're just too hurt right now. The Falcons really need to get a win. They're the more desperate team with enough talent to pull this out. So I've got. The Falcons really need to get a win. They're the more desperate team with enough talent to pull this out. So I got the Falcons. Dez has the Bucs. Diego, chris, who do you have in this?
Speaker 3:The Falcons, I think the one thing that concerns me is their inconsistency in playing down a competition, because one week they look like world beaters, next week they don't even perform, don't even show up versus Seattle. So again with this division, especially knowing that these two are the top seed, with the saints being better to heck and panthers, you know, being the panthers right, I think that the atlanta falcons are probably going to take a stranglehold on this division because of the losses of chris godwin and mike evans yeah, okay, all right, yeah, yeah, I agree.
Speaker 1:So, des man, I don't know why you're taking the buck, dez, you're trying to shock the world. What's going on with you, dez? We know you're four games back Now you're just going to fall back, dez, you're on the island. He's on the island for four games this week and he's just going to fall. Yeah, he's trying to do. He's trying to go backwards and catch up to me. All right, all right. Well, let's go to the next one here. We've got the Green Bay Packers traveling down to Jacksonville to play the Jags. I think we all are in agreement for this one, diego, who do we?
Speaker 2:have. We have the Packers. In this one, I mean the Packers, there's the better team. I mean clearly the Jaguars aren't that great.
Speaker 3:Jordan Love all the people the Packers have. Yeah, this is just easy. Packers yeah, they got the Packers in this one.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I mean, man, why is the spread that low? That is a low spread.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's a low spread.
Speaker 3:I don't know.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:Like they obviously have the better quarterback defense overall. Just team coach, everything. I don't know why they're only three and a half point favorites, but hey maybe that's a no spread we don't, but yeah, I got the packers in this one okay, all right.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we all have the packers, so let's move on to the next one. We've got the Saints at the Chargers. Man Chargers are a seven-point favorite in this one. I didn't realize they were that big of a favorite. I think we're all probably on the same side on this one. Diego, who do you have?
Speaker 2:We all have the Chargers. It's that time for the Saints People getting hurt Kamara, he got his extension, he's out. Rashid, he's on IR. Olave's hurt. Derek Carr's hurt. Spencer Rattler going on the road against the tough Chargers defense Herbert got a good running game. I think the Chargers win this one.
Speaker 3:We were calling them Super Bowl contenders, and now it's.
Speaker 2:I've lost five, it's gotten so far. Almost as bad as the Panthers.
Speaker 3:Almost Only one game. Only one game.
Speaker 1:Have the Saints? The Saints haven't come to Carolina yet.
Speaker 3:No, they put 40 on us first game, though. Yeah, that's right. Also put 40 on the first game, though. Oh yeah, that's right. Yeah, yeah. Also put 40 on the Cowboys. That's right. Now, I know the.
Speaker 1:Cowboys are bad. All right, maybe we might get our revenge when they come to Charlotte. Yeah, Saints, you don't want to come to Charlotte.
Speaker 3:Watch everyone heal up when they come play us Battle for three or four wins, let's go Pad those stats up.
Speaker 1:But hey, you know what, in typical Carolina Panthers fashion, since we do own our number one pick, we probably beat them and then not get the number one pick.
Speaker 2:Yeah, then we'll have to trade up and do something crazy, exactly. I kind of want Travis Hunter or Cam Ward.
Speaker 3:For sure yeah. I need somebody who can put somebody in the seats in Carolina Cause actually going to that game live, there was way too many Bengals fans. It was crazy. A lot of orange, a lot of orange.
Speaker 2:Like they had a whole like building and like park reserves. It was just like all bangle fans it was crazy.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah, we need somebody who can electrify and bring you know more people to the stadium and kind of give us, revitalize us, and I think cam ward or travis hunter can really do that, yeah, and you know what's so funny about the whole bangle thing is you had the bangle fans walking around there.
Speaker 1:I mean they were, you know, it wasn't anything crazy. The Panther fans were actually the ones that were more obnoxious. We had the one behind us, but the Bengals fans that were there were kind of walking around with a little edge to them. You know what I mean? Yeah, what was so funny about it is the Bengals, historically, are like their reputation was worse than the Panthers, like we've been to same amount of same amount of Super Bowls.
Speaker 3:Maybe they've been to no we've been to more Super Bowls. Wait, actually no, because they went to one and they lost off of the drive.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so I think it's the same.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we've both been to like two Super Bowls, two Super Bowls, our first 20 years of existence.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah we've been in existence much less than them. Yeah, so we've technically, in this span we've had way more success than they've had, but they're hot right now and got some stars and whatnot and walking around like they're the green bay packers and they have all this history right.
Speaker 1:They didn't win a game, it was, it was you, you could not tell them that they weren't like a historically amazing franchise. Yeah, but yeah it was. It was wild, but I think that was more of an ohio, like swagger yeah, yeah, yeah interesting don't let the browns get good, oh yeah now
Speaker 3:they're man their fan base. Yeah, dude, they traded their franchise quarterback for. Yeah, how you want to talk about sean right now? Because, oh yeah, oh no, we're doing it because of his achilles. Yeah, because he sucks like that's that was bad.
Speaker 1:Yeah, oh man, all right. Well, that's uh. Let's see, see how's charges. Okay, we got a couple games left here to go through. Let's uh hit the next one, the buffalo bills. My bills are going to seattle to play the seahawks, uh, who we have in this one, bill's just the better team.
Speaker 2:trying to get a win seattle tough place to play, but bills are just a better team. You got cooper Cooper. Okay yeah, going with them.
Speaker 3:Gotcha. Going with the Bills Going with the Bills. I saw Josh Allen as an MVP candidate. The fact that he hasn't thrown an interception this year is very it's crazy Listen. Yes, everybody talks about him being turnover prone. He's been like that this year. He's been doing his thing, so I think Josh Allen's still going to continue his high streak because the Seahawks defense hasn't looked, even with adding Mike McDonald. They haven't looked like they're anything to stuff at.
Speaker 1:So what? I'm curious. I have to go back and look at this. How many picks did Josh Allen throw before Diggs got there? Was he a turnover machine before Diggs as well? That'll be interesting Now again his career, he leaped as a player when Diggs got there, but I wonder what his turnover ratio was.
Speaker 2:I think it was a lot. It was a lot Off of memory, I think, but you can check.
Speaker 1:Something to check on. We know Brandon, we know Brandon will fire that in the comments for us. So yeah, check that out and let us know on that.
Speaker 3:Oh yeah, weirdly enough, he had more picks because he got Diggs was in 2021?.
Speaker 2:It was his third year. He had 10 in 2020.
Speaker 3:He had 15 in 2021. 14 in 2022. And 18 in 2023. So weirdly it got worse, but then, like his passing touchdowns went like up, because he threw for 37, 36, 35, and 29. It's just you know, the whole risk of a biscuit.
Speaker 1:I think a lot of that was so. A lot of these picks and him being known for that is, you know, having a player like Diggs again, I like Diggs, so two things can be true. But having a player like Diggs that he had to force the ball to and caused a lot of those turnovers there, I'm sure it's bad 29-18, man, shout out to the 12-0 this year.
Speaker 3:Josh, you're doing your thing, man, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:Doing it. You're doing it All right, well, all right, well, hey. Now we've got the game of the week Carolina Panthers Denver to play the Broncos.
Speaker 2:You got the Broncos Just like Super Bowl 50.
Speaker 3:Yeah, oh, that's right. Oh, this is bringing back memories.
Speaker 1:Memories, dang, is that a 10 point? Summer, did you do that correctly? Is that really a 10 point? She's shaking her head. Dang yeah, is that a 10 point?
Speaker 3:Summer, did you do that correctly? Is that really a 10 point?
Speaker 1:She's shaking her head Dang my gosh, it's actually 10.5 now.
Speaker 3:I hope that they actually just beat us by 10 and not by 30, like how we've been losing these past few weeks. Can they just beat us regularly, man, I don't want us to be humiliated yet again. Just give us some hope towards the end, you know. And then we throw a crushing interception or they win by game winning field goal.
Speaker 1:I'm tired of getting blown out.
Speaker 3:It's sad that I'm like praying to lose. Lose, good at this point. Lose by 10.
Speaker 2:Lose by 10. Lose by 10 instead of by 33? Like what oh man?
Speaker 3:This team took years off me, man.
Speaker 1:This is a tough one, yeah, yeah, I'm not even going to beat around the bush. We all got the Broncos in this one, so I'm messing around with you guys. Now we've got four more games to pick. We want to take questions. We want to take questions from the audience. So go ahead and start getting those ready. Load those up. Summer, you got to get those queued up for us. If we have questions, we want to be able to go right into those when we finish these next four games here. So we want to get ready. It could be about anything. It could be about the NFL. We've talked about World Series. It can be. Go back to basketball. We haven't had a chance to really address your question, so we want to make sure we do that. Next we've got the Chiefs Kansas City Chiefs going to LA to play their rival. The Raiders. Man Chiefs are a nine and a half point favorite going on the road to Vegas. Who do you?
Speaker 3:have in this.
Speaker 2:This is basically an extra home game for the Chiefs.
Speaker 1:It's going to be a lot of red, a lot of red.
Speaker 2:Yeah, a lot of red In Vegas, so he's going with the Chiefs D-Hot probably get him a few touches yeah.
Speaker 3:Even though Aiden well, aiden O'Connell's out, but he was the last quarterback to beat the Chiefs, so you know, that's something I can't say to you, man. I feel like the Raiders season has again gotten away from them and they're I don't know. I just I was really rooting for Antonio Pierce. I know Max Crosby, cmc, you know, have the like again. The Devontae Adams, my ankle hurt I want to be traded in injury. So, and yeah, I got Kansas City. Yeah, that's fun enough.
Speaker 1:I like that. We got a coin at the. I want to be traded in injury.
Speaker 3:Yeah, that's good, yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we got the Chiefs in this one. I mean, again, the Raiders. They find a way to typically play the Chiefs well, no matter what they are at home. But yeah, this is just a different year. You got DeHop coming in there. I don't know how up to speed he'll be to get in there, but yeah, I think the Chiefs definitely take care of business in this one. All right, so we've got three more left. We've got the Bears. Oh, man, dwayne, uncle Dwayneayne, shout out to my brother, dewayne, birthday is tomorrow. Shout out to you, man, happy birthday, happy early birthday to you. We know you're watching. So Chicago Bears come up to DC to play the Commanders. Man, this is the battle between number one number two.
Speaker 3:No, no, Jaden's my player. Oh yeah, you look like Jaden's going to play.
Speaker 1:Oh man, this may be the battle between number one and number two. I didn't know that.
Speaker 2:I thought it was going to be Mariota, oh yeah.
Speaker 3:You want to change your pick. You want to change it. I picked.
Speaker 2:I'll just stick with it. It's in the apps.
Speaker 1:I'll just stick with it. Well, the game hasn't happened yet, so so do you want to make a conditional? What gives you the ability to make?
Speaker 2:a conditional If Jaden plays, I'm going to pick the Commanders. If not then I'm going to go with the Bears.
Speaker 1:Okay, all right. Okay, that is a Dez move. He's pulled that before.
Speaker 2:This is probably my only one of the year.
Speaker 1:Yes, we will grant you a conditional. For sure, for sure, all right. What do you think, chris?
Speaker 3:I think the Commanders have all the momentum in the world. I think the Bears are still coming off a bye. They might be revitalized. I like how Caleb's looked in these past few games and I really think that this might be the game that decides the rookie of the year race, because everybody's going to be like, oh well, caleb's been playing better and he beat Jaden, or Jaden beat Caleb and he's number one. So I like this man. I like kind of the narratives that can come from it, but I got the Commanders in this one.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, I'm with you. I don't need a conditional. I'm saying this with my chest. I've got the Commanders in this one, no matter what. I don't care if it's mariota, um man.
Speaker 1:Commanders are playing well this year. They're at home. I think the home field is what's going to make the difference. So they've got a wild fan base. The stadium, although it's trashed, it's full and they're energized, they're excited and, uh, they, they definitely are going to want this one against the Bears and they'll want nothing more than to beat the number one pick and to beat the Bears and show that they have the best, best career. Even if Daniels isn't playing, I think they look good enough with Mariota to where it's. We have to give that offense a lot of credit in Kingsbury. Yeah, we got to give that offense a lot of credit in Kingsbury. Yeah, we got to give that offense a lot of credit. Especially if they end up pulling this out and the Bears have a strong defense so they pull this out with him, then that says a lot. I think Kingsbury, he already had a job for life.
Speaker 3:But it's a solidified. He's still getting the checks off of it, so he's good. He sure is he's not stressing.
Speaker 1:He's probably knew this for free.
Speaker 3:He was like nah. He was like nah. I want to help turn a franchise around and I'm still getting paid from the Cardinals.
Speaker 1:That's great. Yes, absolutely, who would?
Speaker 3:have thought they'd be 6-2, that they have a chance to be 6-2 in the beginning of the season. No way, never.
Speaker 1:Did not think that at all. Dez has the Bears. We won't tell him, we won't even give him the option to make it conditional because he probably thinks Daniels is hurt.
Speaker 3:So he'll find it. We'll see if I get a text from him.
Speaker 1:All right, all right, let's move on to the next one. Here We've got oh man, oh boy. Let's get the comments going on this one. Ooh, and this is an island game as well. Dallas Cowboys travel to the Bay to play the Niners. The Niners are a four-point favorite. This is a game that both teams desperately need to stay alive in the wild card, because they are both in serious trouble. Man Diego, kick us off with this one.
Speaker 2:I'm going with the dallas cowboys in this one. Um, I just think the the niners are so hurt right now. It's just crazy like they're there. There were no iu towards acl. Yeah, no, um, mccaffrey debo, I know he's had the illnesses. He's had the illnesses. He hasn't been practicing. Kittle hasn't been practicing. Those two might play. If they do, they're going to not be 100% Brock. I don't know if he can do it without all those people. They looked bad last week against the Chiefs the Cowboys. I think they're going to want They've heard all the memes and stuff from them getting blown out. I think they're going to want they've heard all the memes and stuff from them getting blown out. I think they're going to want to go in there against a banged-up Niner Of course a banged-up Niner team, not full strength and get a win and get everyone hyped. Yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm with you. As you all know, I speak fluent Dallas Cowboy. Okay, so picks are impeccable. On the Cowboys Again, I don't always pick for the Cowboys, but I pick correctly with the Cowboys because I speak Cowboy. So this is a game that they've got to get. All right, You're going to see MVP Dak and they're going to go in there and get this one, so I'm going with the Cowboys. Dez has the Niners in this one.
Speaker 3:Chris, who do you have in this one man we want to know dallas, because to me I believe that they got to show something as a team, you know, show some signs of life and to me I feel like this is going to be another one. That was played down to their competition games and they went off of a brandon aubrey field goal. But I think that dallas and again I feel bad for the schedule makers in the nfl because commanders bears like that should be the primetime game. But you know, I think that the I think dallas is again a much more talented team than the 49ers are currently. I'm very, very concerned with their injuries and I don't know if they're three and five. Do we start asking like, what's up with Shanahan at this point? Because I know he can't help injuries, I know he can't do all that. But if you're this offensive mind, offensive guru, why can't the players you put in really help out? Plus, they still have another rough couple games coming up, so I don't know how the end of the season will look for them.
Speaker 1:Still have another rough couple games coming up, so I don't know how the end of the year. Yeah, they have a tough schedule. Yeah, it's gonna be tough for for the niners. So this is, this is definitely one that they again, both teams, it's a you know as they say on uh, first things first. A double must win both teams must win it I love.
Speaker 1:I don't know if they coined that or who, but I hear them saying it, but I love that. But yeah, this is definitely a double must win, definitely is. So yeah, can't wait to see this and actually I like that. It's still Cowboys Niners. I like this the Sunday night game, but I feel you I mean the Bears commanders definitely garnered some attention.
Speaker 2:I don't think they expected the commanders to be this good. No, no, no, no, no, no. Nobody thought that be this good. No, no, no, no, nobody thought that. Nobody thought that.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so we'll see what happens with this one. Yeah, yeah, all right, we got one last game and then we've got some questions to dive into. Last game here is the Monday Night Thriller in Pittsburgh. The six-point favorite over the New York Giants, diego. Who you have in this one? My man.
Speaker 2:Giants, diego, who you have in this one, my man, yeah, I have the Steelers in this one. They're at home. Giants just aren't that great of a team Benching. Daniel Jones, do not expect a lot of points in this game. So yeah, I'm just going with the Steelers, just because blandly win this game.
Speaker 1:Okay, yeah, I'm going with this one, Matt. After seeing the way that Russ cooked man, how can you not go with the Pittsburgh Steelers, man? We saw vintage Seattle.
Speaker 3:Seahawks.
Speaker 1:Russ yeah, man, yeah, so definitely got to go with the Steelers. They have a good D. Now they got a quarterback that's doing a little something. That's all they need and, yeah, they're looking good man.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I like what the Steelers offense showed Russell being able to get the ball downfield and again, this is a very good Steelers defense. Going up against a very calling him an average quarterback is nice. In Daniel Jones I think the Steelers are going to are gonna win again. Don't expect a lot of points, because the giants do have a very good defense, but I believe this might just be a slug fest where somebody wins like 13 10. Okay, I got the steelers in this.
Speaker 1:All right, cool, cool. Yeah, we all have in des as the steelers as well, so we're all on the same page here. So we're going to finish off here, we're going to take some questions and we're also going to give a couple of quick promos here. So one I want to give a shout out to Kings Kings. They have us there for our monthly live in-person show. So we'll be back Saturday November 9th.
Speaker 1:Saturday November 9th at King's those of you that are here, local to the Raleigh Triangle area, you want to come out. It's going to be a great show. Of course we'll talk NFL. It'll be NFL Week 10 at that point. So we'll be talking about that, the marquee game right now. We'll see if the Cowboys can get back on track. You've got Cowboys Eagles that week, so that's a big one. So we know both have big fan bases. We'll have a lot of fans from both at that show. So we're looking forward to that. But we also have so that Saturday November 9th, the Friday after that is the Tyson Paul fight, okay, and we'll have a former pro boxer, jay Edwards, joining us for our segment to talk about the Tyson fight. So we can't wait for that.
Speaker 1:We'll have a lot of other special guests in the building that we're cooking up, so we'll start. You'll start seeing everyone that's going to be either on the show or in the crowd for that event, so we want to see you there. We have a lot of great promos. We also have a special promo If you wear something, pick them pros, you actually get a gift there. We have a lot of cool stuff going on with that show. We're excited about that, as we have our monthly in-person shows. Shout out to them. Shout out to Zaxby's of Clayton. You see me sipping out of my special Zaxby's of Clayton cup. Shout out to them. They're our other sponsor as well.
Speaker 1:All right, so let's go ahead. And we got a question from a viewer Summer, I see your message there. You want to go ahead and pull that up. That was from Brett Brett, that's funny. What is fluent cowboy? Okay? So yeah, brett, that's just what I speak. So I was a season ticket holder for the Dallas Cowboys, so I feel I'm very familiar with the Dallas Cowboys. I know how Jerry Jones thinks and so I know when they're going to win, I know when they're going to lose. So that's what I mean. It's really kind of like speaking fluent Jerry Jones and all that, but I can't really coin any of that. So what I've coined is I speak fluent cowboy. So that's what that is, brett. So thanks for the question. My man Appreciate you watching. Yeah, love that. And see. Alex asked who is all of our favorite baseball teams. Okay, hey, good question there. Alex, you want to? I mean Diego, you want to take that? Yeah, I'm a Padres fan, so Padre, padres, padres fan. Okay, how'd you become a Padres fan?
Speaker 2:I just kind of just picked the Padres. I just liked you know, Fernando, and some of the players they had, and they had you.
Speaker 1:they had my name in it, so I just picked them. I thought the name in it may have something to do with it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I just picked them. It's pretty random. California like California, you like.
Speaker 1:Cali. All right, yeah, you have a Cali vibe to you a lot, so that fits the Padres, definitely fit you, yeah. So, chris, do you have a favorite?
Speaker 3:MLB team. I'm looking, you're open.
Speaker 1:You're a free agent.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I'm a free agent. At this point I really need to tap in with baseball more If I would, honestly seeing how Phillies fans were during that World.
Speaker 1:Series one.
Speaker 3:And I lived in South Jersey up there during that World Series one I they are and how kind of really like cool they are as a fan base. So I would say I'm very interested in joining the phillies as a fan, but I'm still, you know, feeling out baseball, starting to get to know it and appreciate it more okay all right, all right, I like that, I like that.
Speaker 1:Well, uh, mine man, so, growing up, okay, I grew up in chicago so I, like you, know all the chicago teams and the white socks was, uh, definitely a team that I grew up. Watching went to a lot of white socks games. I've been to wrigley field also, so I've been to a lot of different stadiums. But, um, if I have to pick a favorite team right now, I'd say the dodgers. I've been, I've been rocking with the dodgers. It's not because they're in the World Series and about to win the World Series.
Speaker 2:I'm not in.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you're not that. But again, you can go look at our timeline. You can see our social media. You can see me rocking the LA hat at the Dodgers game. Okay, you know what I'm saying? Representing.
Speaker 2:I got photo evidence you can go check it out. Check out the history.
Speaker 1:I have the history of being a Dodgers fan. Matter of fact, that's my second Dodgers hat. That wasn't even my first Dodgers hat that I bought. I had Dodgers way, way back in the day. So, yeah, rep of the Dodgers. And I'm also, you know, I like California. You know, but I'm I, I like California, you know, but I'm, you know, I'm kind of an LA guy, you know yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:It's kind of my vibe. All right, la guy, all right, good one. Okay, another great question here. All right, diego, who's going to win the Super Bowl first? Ooh, who's going to win the Super Bowl first, cleveland or Carolina, carolina, carolina.
Speaker 2:Ooh, carolina, carolina, carolina. Oh, okay, talk to them, man, they just are. I don't see the future in Cleveland. I just see Carolina building. Of course, you don't have it right now, but I just think we'll build one faster. It's really just about who's able to get the picks, and just figure it out faster. We have evidence of doing it more. So I believe that we can just figure it out faster. We have evidence of doing it more. I believe that we can just do it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you say Carolina also.
Speaker 3:Yes, because to me it's a historical thing of them being bad, plus the decision-making that that front office has made. Listen, I don't believe in Tepper, but at least we knew not to sign Deshaun Watson. That's the one thing Tepper did, right, I hate him for a lot of things. But man, at least he did not sign Deshaun, that's true. I don't know.
Speaker 1:I would also say, with the Panthers being in the NFC, being in a division, that's not as good, all those factors, I think, help them. I mean, the AFC is loaded and is going to be loaded for a while. All those quarterbacks are still pretty young and I mean, shoot even within Cleveland's division. Yeah, that's murderer's row. So yeah, I would say, even for that, panthers probably have a better chance. But yeah, great, great, great questions there. Yeah, all right, cool, cool, got any.
Speaker 1:Let's see, josh, I'm happy you reminded me of that, josh. Oh man, josh, speaking of Cleveland, and he's a Cleveland, all things Cleveland. Josh Burke, okay, one of our super subscribers, big, big fan, great friend of the show In our fantasy league. He's in everything, he's one of our most active people. So we did have a bet, even though I spanked him in so many other things, I spanked him in fantasy earlier this year and all that. We did have a little wager on the WNBA finals between the Lynx and the Liberty, and so whoever lost I had the Lynx links he had the liberty so whoever lost has to get the uh by the winner, the nba championship shirt. So, josh, you've got the silly uh new york liberty championship shirt being shipped to you, my friend. So congratulations, josh, but good job, good job, man, all right.
Speaker 1:And then we got, uh, johnny o from whole shots. A whole shots is all things motocross. That is another channel that we've got under the tnt network, but I see. So he's asking diego, uh, between the cowboys and the panthers, who do you think will have the number one pick in next year's draft? So who have a higher pick? I might turn my cowboy gear into the firewood because Johnny O is a huge cowboy fan. So who has a higher pick between the Panthers and the Cowboys?
Speaker 2:It should be the Panthers, I mean yeah it's going to be Panthers. Okay, all right, all right. Cowboys have to fall pretty bad, yeah yeah, because I mean they already have a few wins. And Panthers All right, cowboys have to fall pretty bad.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, because I mean they already have a few wins and Panthers are shining the Panthers. They might win two more games this year. Yeah, so, yeah, so I think it would definitely definitely be them. All right, cool, cool, let's see. Okay, yep, summer's giving us the thumbs up there, so we're good. Good on questions.
Speaker 3:Well, giving us the thumbs up there, so we're good good on questions.
Speaker 1:Well, hey, man Cool.
Speaker 1:It's cool being here Nice vibe, you know, yeah, definitely have to shout out to Joe bringing us in. I love the setup and yeah, we'll, you know, continue to keep building, making everything better. But we're taking next week off from a live show. We're putting everything into that King show in two weeks. So, kings, you don't want to miss it.
Speaker 1:Saturday, november 9th, 7 pm. You want to get there a little early. You want to get there at least 630, at best probably 615 to get a seat, because it's going to be tight Standing room. Only Come in there, get some food, make it a date night. It'll just be a great vibe, uh, and I think a bunch of us are going to bowl after. So it's going to be a fun time. Great show, a lot of great topics. It's going to be a lot of fun. So we appreciate you guys. All right, well, hey, man, y'all ready time? Check us out in two weeks. Don't want to miss us. Until then, pick them pros. See y'all later. We're out, we're out, yep, we're out, we're out, we're out, we're out, we're out, we're out, we're out. We so far as Jordan, thank you. Outro Music.
